It was a weekend of tyre choices for Mike so if you are a tyre geek enjoy his summary; “Tyres were the important factor with the heat, tried Bridgestones, Pirelli and Continentals on the practice day but settled with a combination of Pirelli SC1 slick front and Conti TrackAtackRace Medium rear, proved to be a winning combo thanks to Cambrian tyres.
Got a 180/60 Pirelli to try however it wouldn't fit in, when we measured it 196mm....Bad engineering or what...”
Mike always enjoys racing but when 0.075 seconds separates 3 riders on the line (Race 1) there’s an extra level of loving the elbows out spirit of club racing. The machines might be classics but there are some fired up youngsters out there and Mike says; “I have to put in 100% and bring all my 45 years of experience to outfox these boys and girls, come along to Donington and see.”

27/06/2026; No Limits Round 4 at Brands Hatch
RMRC Ambassadors racing; Nick Round on his Yamaha R6 in the Club 600 Endurance.
This weekend brought mixed weather conditions which always have an impact when you are endurance racing, however, this is Nick’s favourite track so the enthusiasm was high!
They lost a minute to tyre changes but these boys are rapid and moved into 3rd place. Strategy is everything and Nick worked with his team mate to make the most of any advantages they could staying out in the drying conditions until Tom could get out on slicks resulting in a very well-earned 2nd place.
